Photo Sharing Website using Amazon Cloud

A Photo (and or video) sharing website using Amazon Cloud (Amazon Web Services) - there will be no minimum fee for the users - no contract - it is all 'pay as you go' model, which is different than most of the online photo sharing sites (and this could be the positioning message for this idea). It will also nicely address the use-case where user wants the pictures to be uploaded and available only for a certain duration of time and pay only for that time-period.

The photos will be stored on Amazon S3 - so it will be cheap and no need to worry about scalability issue and then billing will be done directly from Amazon using Amazon DevPay - so again no need to worry about how to track usage, charges etc. Finally deploy on Amazon EC2.

So how will it generate money - DevPay is the answer. We can increase the pricing for S3 storage, e.g., if Amazon charges $0.15 per GB-month storage, we can charge $0.20 and Amazon will pay us the difference. Again, the cool part is that Amazon will keep track the usage and billing for the customers.

Now that Amazon EC2 starts supporting Windows, we can develop the application on ASP.Net.
