A service that helps schools that want to deploy a 1-to-1 computing environment (using the OLPC model as an example) carry out a site survey, identify what they would need to plan for, and generate a draft proposal, with timeline and deployment plan. It would invite people to upload various types of information and images, identify key players in their vicinity, (look for other projects in their region - future feature ...more »

transparent overlay keyboard case for iphone

Forget blue tooth or wired keyboards for the iphone. What we need is to create a simple case or wrap around keyboard that presses down on the existing keyboard on the iphone screen but acts as a blackberry keyboard. Basically take apart a black berry or some other smartphone, lay the keys over the iphone keyboard, have the biometric hookup, and we have a keyboard that gives you blackberry feel and speed. It should ...more »

Remove my so called friend

Build an app that would be able to remove a friend from all your social networks and post up a response on why you removed them. So for instance I want to remove a person from my social network. I select the person and it updates and removes them from all my social accounts (myspace, facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc...)Also posts why you removed them.

Thoughts??

Social Dressing

I know people have this on individual sites but I haven't seen the app in Facebook or MySpace yet. I want to look for clothes or glasses, then have the community (my online friends) tell me what to buy. For example, I'm looking for glasses now and have my favorites. I'd share them with my Facebook friends and let them provide their input. I'd make the final decision.

Photo Sharing Website using Amazon Cloud

A Photo (and or video) sharing website using Amazon Cloud (Amazon Web Services) - there will be no minimum fee for the users - no contract - it is all 'pay as you go' model, which is different than most of the online photo sharing sites (and this could be the positioning message for this idea). It will also nicely address the use-case where user wants the pictures to be uploaded and available only for a certain duration ...more »

Image Aggregator

Create a Silverlight based image gallery / slideshow that would allow a simple yet slick viewing experience of photos from a variety of disparate services (Flickr, SmugMug, stored locally, urls to images) as if they were in a single album. Metadata could be cached locally, images would remain hosted on the source service. The viewing experience could be something like coverflow. Instead of being a stand alone site, ...more »

Late night search for food, beer, coffee, with WIFI mashup

Looking to create a mashup on top of google or microsoft maps where you can search for food, beer, coffee and wifi. Simple interface that leads to results showing places with food serving hours. I recently spent an hour driving from bar to bar after 11pm trying to find a bar with food and wifi. Maybe a site like this already exists but I could not find one based on food serving hours. As more and more people work ...more »

A query service that allows you to submit people who can't use their email correctly. This is tied to a plug in application that runs in outlook or gmail to flash a warning when you are sending an email to a 'sucky' person. For example if you send someone a BCC and the forward it on to other people who were already in the CC of the original email, you can flag them as someone who sucks at email. You can also create ...more »

Service Provider Review Site

I frequently find myself in the position of trying to find a service provider and not having any clue a) which ones are out there and b) what their service is like. Ideally, I would be able to do the following: Select the type of service (shared vps, managed server, dns backup, mx backup) Select a desired price point Select traffic estimate (i.e. grid servers may not be a good choice for low-traffic sites) Show me a ...more »
